Our History – Ooolala Crêperie

Bienvenue! Ooolala has been serving French crepes in Penticton since 2009, bringing the flavors of France and the Mediterranean to the Okanagan. Raised in a culture of French gastronomie and inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, our goal has always been to share the taste of the old world with every crepe we make.

What started as a humble crepe cart quickly grew into a converted horse trailer, then an iconic Airstream food truck, and now a charming bistro in downtown Penticton. Along the way, Ooolala has remained true to its roots: every crepe is made fresh, nutritious, and delicious, crafted with only the finest and freshest ingredients.

From street-side treats to a full bistro experience, Ooolala’s history is a story of passion, tradition, and a love for bringing authentic French crepes to the community.

It all started with a Crepe Cart..

Street food stand selling crepes with a sign reading 'CREPES,' a menu board, and colorful decorations, set up on a sidewalk with trees and buildings in the background.

Than we converted to a horse trailer..

A food truck selling crepes on a city street with a chalkboard menu, people walking, and a pedestrian crosswalk.

Later on, we got a airstream

We still operate seasonally at the S.S. Sicamous Marine Heritage Park from June to August.

A white vintage camper trailer with red and white striped awning, set up as a food stand with chalkboard menus, in a grassy outdoor area with tables covered in red and white polka dot tablecloths and black chairs. There are flowering plants and trees in the background, and a couple of people sitting on benches under trees.
Blue building with a sign that says Oolala, featuring the words Crêperie, Café, and Bistro above three garage-style doors, and a wooden fence in front.

Now we have a Restaurant!
